25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 3

Here we are, Day 3 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! Today, our guest and sponsor is Altenew

Altenew is a go-to for elegant stamps and designs, and so I tried to be elegant with my tag:

To start, I used their Create-a-Wreath die set to cut a circle from watercolour cardstock. (It cut an outer ring as well, which of course I saved for another use.) Using three green reinkers, I smooshed the circle to get a mottled background. While that was drying, I die cut the branch and added Nuvo drops for berries. The sentiment is from the set Modern Poinsettia. The outer ring I did use for the tag matched one of the reinkers.

I certainly wasn't going to pass up a chance to use Modern Poinsettia for a Christmas card!

I stamped the poinsettia on watercolour paper and embossed it in silver, then coloured it with Gansai Tambi watercolours. While that dried, I lightly blended some green ink on the main white panel, then added some splatters of both the ink and shimmer mist. Some Nuvo drops added texture and shine to the centre of the flower.

Are you playing along? There are lots of prizes to be won! Participate by commenting on designers' tag posts, or by making your own tag inspired by the ones you've seen today, or both!

Gorgeous tag and card today. As you may see, I am getting caught up in reverse order...and I have already commented on a tag in our gallery that was inspired by your pretty tag. Love when I can see that happen in our event, and hats off to you for providing the inspiration.
