25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 16

Welcome to another Monday, and Day 16 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, hosted by Tracey McNeely! Today we welcome Concord & 9th as our guest and sponsor.

Concord & 9th excel at creative stamp and die pairings, and for my first tag, I used Stocking Stuffers to create an interactive tag. Here it is closed:

And open:

Isn't this fun? While the set is designed more for an interactive card, I couldn't resist turning it into a slider tag. For the stocking, I found a scrap of leftover cardstock that I'd previously stencilled with embossed white polka dots. The stocking contents are coloured with Copies. The stocking is backed with white, so there's lots of room to write on the back of both it and the slider.
I also made a pocket tag:

For the tag holder, I white-embossed red cardstock with one of the sentiments from Holiday Cheer. The white tag pulls out:

For the inner tag, I simply repeated the fun "ho" three times in red ink.
These were a lot of fun to make, but I also needed to get back to my clean and simple side:

This tree die from the Holiday Cheer tag dies is one of my favourites, for the way it creates a feathery evergreen on cardstock. The tag on the left is as simple as can be, with a gold star sequin and some gold elastic cord. I decided to back the green version with a second layer in white, for extra contrast. I also added a simple sentiment in gold pearl embossing powder - that is more obvious in real life than in photos. ;)

While I had my Concord & 9th supplies out, I also managed to get a card made:

This is my favourite kind of card - maximum impact without maximum work! ;) The Christmas Florals stamps and dies make it easy to create an elegant card. I embossed the main image in gold tinsel embossing powder, then watercolored the poinsettias and large berries. The letters and merry sentiment are die cut from C&9th's graphite glitter cardstock. I decided to use a black card base for extra impact.

Are you playing along? There are lots of prizes to be won! Participate by commenting on designers' tag posts, or by making your own tag inspired by the ones you've seen today, or both! Lots of beautiful inspiration on Tracey's blog, so be sure to visit!
