25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 13

Welcome to Friday the 13th and Day 13 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! Today we are welcoming guest and sponsor Paper Sweeties.

My tags today are easy to make, but I think would be a great gift set:

I limited myself to four colours, but could easily have made more! I think this word tree is perfect to emboss in white on any festive colour. I considered glitzing up the stars, but decided I liked them just as they were. I did add a couple of jingle bells to each of the coordinating ribbons.

I made a card today, too!

Step One was to stamp the little Santa hat! Then I masked it so the birdie could be wearing it. Next I stamped the birdhouse and the holly, then masked them, the bird, and a snowy border before blending my evening sky. Once the masks were off, I coloured with Copics. The sentiment was embossed with sparkle embossing powder. Finally, I added Stickles to the hat trim, glaze pen to the snow on the birdhouse, and Glossy Accents to the lights and holly berries. I like the idea of my festive bird admiring his hard work decorating for the holidays. :D

Remember there are lots of prizes to be won by participating in this almost month-long event! Make your own tag inspired by any of the designers' tags, or comment on their posts to be eligible to win. I hope you're playing along!
