25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 13

DAY 13!!! This marks the halfway point for Tracey's McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! And to mark this auspicious occasion, we have a little surprise!

This cute little makeup bag is sewn by Tag Team member Kim. Yes, in addition to being a terrific card and tag maker, Kim is also amazing with fabric and thread! And she has offered this cute little prize for someone who completes all 26 days of the event. To see more of Kim's amazing work, head over to her Etsy shop, Running Stitch Design. More details are on Tracey's post today.
On to today's main event... our guest and sponsor for today's tags is CAS-ual Fridays

CAS-ual Fridays sent the Tag Team some sweet stamp sets and tag dies. I concentrated on a few of what might not be considered the main images in the sets to create my trio of tags:

A closer look at each one:

For these two, I stamped the bells in grey ink and embossed with clear embossing powder before watercolouring and fussy cutting. They are adhered flat at the top of the tag, but with foam tape at the bottom for some dimensional interest. The tags themselves are cut with the medium-sized die from Tag Buddies. Although it's looking white in the photos, the sentiment is embossed in silver to match the silver-painted bells.

And look! I made it to Day 13 before breaking out the paint chips! :D I cut my tag then embossed this pretty tree in white. I added some Stickles to the star before adding a sheer white ribbon.
Feeling inspired? Making your own tags, or commenting on the tags made today by CAS-ual Fridays designers as well as my friends Carol, Joyce and Kim put you in the running for a prize from one of our sponsors. And of course, now there's an extra incentive to play along every day!

What a fabulous trio of tags today, Joyce. I love your color choices, and while one might expect that traditional deep Christmas green, I just LOVE how you selected a more muted green to complete your trio. The color choices are really smart and they caused you to create a really lovely set of tags to inspire us today. Thanks again for sharing.
Blessings,
Karen Letchworth

These three are all wonderful. As a lover and hoarder of paint chips, I am especially inspired by your 3rd tag. What a fantastic idea. And, I think I have never considered using the paint chip on the diagonal like that. Wow, a game changer for me.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by paint chips, unless you're talking about those samples that you pick up at the hardware store, but these tags are lovely. I especially like the red one.
