Do the POLKA HOP with Scrap n Stamp!

Happy Friday, happy start to a long weekend, and if you celebrate, Happy Easter! It's the first Friday of the month, and so the design team at Scrap n Stamp is ready to hop! This month we are hosting a Polka Blog Hop - polka dots, that is! (I was momentarily worried about having to do the polka, but phew, not necessary.) I combined Easter and polka dots, and this is what resulted:

(Oh, the sacrifices we make - I had to buy chocolate eggs to stage my card!
Now I'll have to eat them! )

The Lawn Fawn Mini Easter Egg dies have two different polka dot options, so they were perfect for this hop. To replicate the look of dyed Easter eggs, I grabbed some Yupo paper and alcohol inks in fiesta, red peppersunshine yellow, sailboat blue and purple twilight for a rainbow of colours. I added the two styles of polka dot designs over top. Since purple is a traditional Easter colour, I picked a light shade for my main panel, and embossed my sentiment (a combination of Lawn Fawn's Hoppy Easter and My Silly Valentine - a classic!) in purple as well.

Scrap n Stamp is offering a $50 gift certificate to a lucky commenter! Comment on all the stops along the hop for your chance to win. Here is your bunny hop order:

Lindsey  --> you are here!

Come hop with us for lots of springtime inspiration and a chance to win!

Your card is adorable, love those eggs, of course love the purple as well. great design too. Those are my favourite eggs, I would have to buy a large bag and keep adding them to the "staging".

Brilliant using alcohol inked backgrounds for Easter eggs. They remind me of egg dipping kits we used when I was a kid. Such a fun card.

This is what came to mind when I heard polka dots and Easter, but you really did it beautiful using yupo and inks. I'll bet it's so pretty in person! The colors are so cool and very reminiscent of swirling those eggs in dye. Great card.
