Day Two of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! Today we are sponsored by Altenew.
Altenew sent the Tag team some lovely goodies to play with... except there are currently some labour issues with Canada Post, and so mine are somewhere between New York State and here in Ontario. I will definitely play with them when I get them, but in the meantime, I combined a couple of my sets to make this:
This uses the dies from Altenew's Create a Wreath set and sentiments from the Tulip stamp set - you know I get a kick out of using a spring-themed set for Christmas! I did some distress ink smooshing on watercolour paper and cut my two branches. And yes, I did cut one *backwards* so I could have them framing the top of the circle. The softer quality of watercolour paper means it's very difficult to see the raw die edges. After embossing the sentiment in white, I adhered the branches and added some white Nuvo dots - mistletoe, right? And the circle was an exact fit for my ornament tag die... like it was meant to be.
For details on how to participate in this fun event - and perhaps win a prize! - check my post yesterday, or for the definitive guide, visit Tracey's blog, where you'll also see the fabulous makes by the Altenew team and Tracey's team. Enjoy!

It's beautiful - love the green and white together, Jo x
Lindsey, you have got to love it when you can make Christmas cards and tags from non-Christmas sets, right? I strive to do that as well and love it when it comes together! This is a gorgeous tag.
Yes this strike thing is a bummer but I am sure you will make the most of the products when you do receive them. There is still plenty of time until Christmas to use them.
A+++ on innovation, Lindsey! Your non-Christmas images transform wonderfully into Christmas! Your tag is delightful!

I love the round shape of your tag! It looks so pretty and fresh!
Love your tag. :)
Fabulous tag, love the green and white, at least you have control with those nuvo drops, I'm not attempting them on the "real" thing.
Great combination of greens.
The shading on the leaves
is nice. fun tag.

hi Lindsey!

Just simply gorgeous!
Oooooh, that gorgeous green! I'm loving these round tags so very much.
This is so lovely! Reminds me of an embroidery hoop.
Well, you made a lovely tag even with Spring-themed stamps! Your "mistletoe swag" is very pretty and I love the ink smooshing on the branches.
I'm sorry about the post...no fun...but I do love the design that you came up with. Love the monochromatic scheme of your tag.
Excellent use of this set to make a Christmas tag! Fabulous!
