It's time for a CHRISTMAS challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More! I'm happy for any excuse to get another Christmas card made; I haven't done as well stocking up on them this year as I usually do. Even though it's over now, I made this with the colours at the CAS Christmas Challenge in mind:
As I do way too often, I had no real plan in mind when I started this card. I did decide to foil the large Merry Christmas sentiment in red. Then, because I was thinking of the red and grey of the CAS challenge, I looked through my patterned papers to see what I might have that would work. As soon as I saw this one, with the red heart camera in the corner, I knew I'd found what I wanted. The sentiment is backed with a second layer of white cardstock, and then a black one offset for a shadow. I added the secondary sentiment to balance the design. Quick and easy, although I know some would disqualify this from the CAS category for the patterned paper.
Thanks to a mention from my friend Nancy, I'm adding this to the {BYSH} Cardmakers Falling for the Holidays Hop!
Lots of festive inspiration on the ATSM blog from my teammates! Be sure to visit for Christmas card spirit. I hope you'll join us!

Simple but beautifully done, I like the large sentiment and how you added the black shadow it made it pop.

This is really pretty! At first glance I thought you created the background. Nice!
Lovely card, Lindsey! I'm so glad you joined in the fun over at the Falling for the Holidays 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!
I love that beautiful bold foiled sentiment, Lindsey and the muted patterned paper is the perfect background for it. Love how you balanced the card with the secondary sentiment too.
Take care,
