Colouring Challenge Day 7

It's Day 7 of Kathy Racoosin's The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge, and Angela picked an amazing stamp to close out the first week!

I am unsupervised today (apart from the cat, of course), so was able to get some morning colouring done. Good thing, too, for this full card image! As usual this week, the Zigs came out. I wanted the centre bloom to be the focus, and used a wet-on-wet watercolour technique to allow the colour to flow and do a lot of the work for me. I also like that this image, the way Angela embossed it, has the worry-free gold splatter built right in. I wanted minimal detraction from the image, so embossed a sentiment on vellum and mounted everything on coordinating cardstock.

I'm so happy with this, I may just have to go do some more colouring! 😁

Supplies: Hero Arts layering cardstock, Canson watercolour paper, vellum, Concord & 9th Hello Lovely & Neat & Tangled Swirly Twirly Tags stamps, Versafine, gold embossing powder, Zig clean colour real brush markers, Spellbinders oval die
