This year I've made more valentine cards than I usually do - but it's a good excuse to send cards to family and friends I haven't seen for a long time! And since there are lots of card challenges floating around right now celebrating love and hearts and all that stuff ;) I thought I'd make and share a few more.
First, a couple I made when my Concord & 9th turnabout skills weren't at their best...
I do like turnabouts when imperfection doesn't really matter. :D For this one, I used pale pink and blue, along with a medium blue and red. The red ink, the one I did last, didn't want to stamp perfectly, of course, so I added a few die cut hearts, with one covering the worst of the mess-ups. I added some glitter marker to them for some valentine shimmer. For the sentiment, I die cut a large heart and heat embossed a simple sentiment. This is probably the most clean and simple of today's cards, so I'm adding it to CAS on Friday for their LOVE challenge, as well as Just Us Girls Valentine challenge and Shopping Our Stash for their Love is in the Air challenge. (I've had this turnabout and the dies for more than a year.)
The second card is similar, but with different colours: two pinks, the same blue, and gold.
This time I thought I'd try a horizontal design, adding a pink heart with sentiment this time, and gold pearl paper as borders. Hard to believe, but the sentiment is stamped in blue, but between the pink cardstock and the embossing powder, it turned quite a nice pink! I also added a heart gem. I'm adding this card to Just Us Girls and Shopping Our Stash.
This one lets patterned paper do most of the work. In my bag o' die cut hearts, I found this perfect woodgrain kraft heart, so that, a banner sentiment, and a small gold glitter heart were the main additions. This card is being added to Cupcake Inspirations: For Those You Love.
Finally, today I had better luck lining up my turnabout stamp:
This time I used two shades of pink and two of purple. And then I used one pink with the two purples on the stamped heart before I die cut it and once again added the embossed sentiment. This is going to Just Us Girls and Shopping Our Stash.
I think I can now put my valentine supplies away! :)

Cute cards. I like those tiny hearts as the background on a couple of them. Thanks for joining in just us girls challenge
So sweet....love all your sweet little hearts, simply adorable!
These are all wonderful valentines. I like seeing your progression in proficiency with the C9 Turnabout. I am somewhere near the beginning, as I have to relearn the instructions every time, since I don't do it very often. So nice to see many variations in color and style using similar supplies.
Fantastic valentine cards, I think the backgrounds look fabulous. As I have said a few times before, never any mistakes only opportunities to embellish. Far ahead of my valentine crafting this year (I made 2) thanks for playing along with Shopping Our Stash for Love is in the Air
Ohhhh these are awesome!
You're turnabout skills are WAY better than mine!
You've been a very busy cupid apprentice with all these Valentines!
Very nicely done sistah!
Thanks for celebrating Love Is In The Air with the crew from SHOPPING OUR STASH!
So many adorable card creations! I see no mistakes whatsoever. Those turnabout backgrounds are awesome! Thanks for joining in at Shopping Our Stash!
I love that you were able to "correct" your mistakes. If you hadn't told us, I would have assumed that the die cut hearts were intentional. The card is lovely. Thanks for joining us at Cupcake Inspirations.

Wow, these are lovely! Love the colors you used for the hearts and the diecut.. perfect, no on will ever know! Your cards remind me, that I have this stamp too.. and all year I waited for Valentine's to use it.. but forgot this time, too! I will have to get it out and use it year round! Thank you so much for playing along at Cupcake Inspirations. Sending love ~ Ishani.
Your array of Valentine cards have certainly captured my heart! Turnabout backgrounds look fabulous from my viewpoint and made all the prettier with your various hearts. The red/kraft/woodgrain, with the wee bit of bling, is absolutely marvelous! Traditional with a twist!
