Another Seize the Birthday Thursday!
Our optional topping for this challenge? Create a beachy birthday card! Of course you are always welcome to join us with any birthday card you make. June seems like a fine time to go with a summery theme, so that's what I did.
That chair taking centre stage (centre beach?) on my card goes by a few different names, but to me it's a Muskoka chair. I stamped and embossed it before stamping it again on some masking paper and cutting it out. With my chair and edges of the panel protected, I used a stippling brush to create the sand, a finger dauber to shade the sky, and a distress marker that's almost dried up to add that little line of inviting water. Obviously the person using the chair is out of the frame with an adult beverage in hand. ;)
With my heat embossing and CAS design, I'm adding this to the current CAS on Friday challenge.
For lots more beachy goodness, be sure to check out the Seize the Birthday blog... and why not play along?
Supplies: Neenah white & desert storm cardstock, Stampendous Fun in the Sun & Clearly Besotted Say What? stamps, Versafine onyx black & antique linen, vintage photo & tumbled glass distress inks, Peacock feathers distress marker, Copic markers, MFT wonky stitched rectangle die
