I catching up with Day 5 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! I could have happily used any of the day's tags as inspiration, but chose to go with Gayatri Murali's pretty tag. Here is my version:
As you can tell, I was totally inspired by Gayatri's doubly-sponged "merry" sentiment, and chose to use the same die cut. I went with the more traditional red and green, opting out of the purple. I also simplified her base layer by using a circle of patterned paper. A few sequins, some ribbon and cord, and I like it!
This is my second post of the day... I'm one of the designers for Tracey today! I hope if you get a chance, you'll play along.
Supplies: American Crafts textured white cardstock, Basic Grey Evergreen patterned paper, Gourmet Rubber Stamps Love and Joy Labels stamp, Versafine onyx black, festive berries & mowed lawn distress inks, Zing clear embossing powder, Winnie & Walter In a Word: Merry & Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #4 dies, Studio Calico silver star sequins, scrap silver cord & green ribbon
