Why look! That mouse is wearing a sweater! That's all the inspiration I needed to pull out my Christmas reindeer!
I was inspired by other aspects of Chriss' card as well, of course: the clean and simple design, the bit of greenery, the background wash of blue and even the little star on the mouse's tail. I used a torn post-it note to add a horizon before painting a light wash of blue Twinkling H2Os for a shimmery sky. Then with Zig markers I coloured the reindeer and tree. I think this is the first time I haven't stamped and cut out a separate sweater to avoid having brown snowflakes on it — it's not as bad as I thought it would be. The little wood veneer star seemed to be just right with the embossed brown ink and homely sweater.
My biggest departure from the Muse card is not making mine one layer. I wanted to be able to pop up my elements as well as have a coloured card base.
Since I used a classic Hero Arts stamp set, I'm also linking up to their current holiday card challenge.

Fabulous card!!! I have that reindeer set from Hero Arts (eh?) Not sure I've used it and I know I haven't stamped it on white and coloured it what fabulous thinking. I will be sure to vote for you Thursday.
So sweet! Love the watercoloring and the veneer! Thanks for joining the Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge❄️
Adorable card, Lindsey. I have the same stamp set ... love the deer's expression and sweater.
Nope - the brown snowflakes are not a problem at all. :) I love the horizon you created and I'm pretty sure that I have Twinkling H2Os stashed away somewhere....
