Day 5 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event — it's dark and gloomy outside where I am, so why not stay indoors and make tags? ;) Today's sponsor is Altenew.
My Altenew stamps are not of the festive variety, so today I chose to be inspired by Altenew design team member Svitlana Shayevich.
A total departure from yesterday's extravaganza of bright colours... and just generally a departure for me. Might be why I CASEd Svitlana's design closely. ;)
My only real changes from the original were to add some white ink sponging around the edges of the tag — I always like the frosted look this gives to kraft cardstock — and heat embossing both the white and brown boughs, because embossing. :D With all the neutrals, I went all out and added a little hemp twine along with my white ribbon. And oh look, another tag I can enter in the Wednesday Simon Says Stamp challenge, Christmas Gift Tags.
There are beautiful inspiration tags on Tracey's blog today — I hope you'll check them out and consider joining us! There are prizes to be won both for making tags and for commenting on designers' posts.

I liked that tag too but had taken my embossing "stuff" home and of course never had an evergreen stamp here, I'm sure it's going to be easier when we are home for the winter. Back to your tag, yes much more your style and it's gorgeous. You did Svitlana's card proud!!!
Beautiful colours, Jo x
pretty tag and love how you cinched in the ribbon:)
That's a great tag !
A fabulous CASE. Looks like you could stray into the world of neutrals more often!
