Tea with the Queen?

The Snarky Sisters and I are back for our latest challenge!

Q is for Queen! We are looking for a crown or bling on your project. I managed to use one of each:

I had so much fun with this card! I started with a Mad Hatter graphic from The Graphics Fairy. I reduced it in size, recoloured it, copied and then hit paste repeatedly until I had my background pattern. I stamped and embossed the teacups on top. The washi tape is homemade -- if I ever find Union Jack washi, I'm buying it! This is the second time I've made my own. Both the blue and the red elements are from tea boxes -- and fit perfectly with the challenge theme. To finish off, I stamped and embossed the sentiment and popped a rhinestone on top of the crown. Fit for a queen, don't you think?
My sisters of snark have come up with some majestic ideas as always -- as has this week's guest designer, Katie Melhus! Be sure to check them out, then make sure your tiara is on and join us!

Supplies: white and royal blue cardstock, tissue paper, Unity The Little things teacups and Viva Las VegaStamps sentiment stamps, Brilliance Mediterranean blue & Versamark inks, clear and Ranger real red embossing powder, Spellbinders labels four die, Stampin' Up basic rhinestone, pop-dot tape

Pin It Now!

This is too darn cute. My best friend (big sister as I call her) is from England. Not sure if I'll have time to join this week as I just returned from a cruise and am still trying to get back to "FL" time rather than "Island" time. But I really like this idea and layout.

Oh my gosh! The Mad Hatter in the background is perfect and subtle enough that he doesn't take over the card. Great card and no, I haven't had tea with Queen. I don't think I could behave myself that long.
