Hello again! It's time for the Thursday installment of my Growing in Unity week. Today I've used a small stamp from an {ippity} set and turned it into what I hope is the star of the card.
I stamped the music notes randomly on a cardstock panel in Memento Paris Dusk before sponging with distress inks. The water droplets I flicked on the panel reacted much more with the distress inks (as I'd expected/hoped). I punched three squares from the panel once it was dry, matted them, then added a sentiment from Bevy of Butterflies. I think I still had yesterday's Crafty Creations challenge, Singing in the Rain, in mind as I made this!
Just in case you missed the news, commenting on this or any of my posts for Unity this week puts you in the running to win two itty bitty stamps of your choice! (I have my eye on the some of the new Wit and Wisdom ones, myself.) Hope you'll come back tomorrow as I wrap up my Growing in Unity week!
Supplies: white, Bazzill Basics blue & Stampin' Up bashful blue cardstock, (ippity} by Unity Sing a New Song & Unity Bevy of Butterflies stamps, Memento Paris Dusk, stormy skies & faded jeans distress inks, pop-dot tape, Creative Memories corner-rounding punch

I like how you made the design on the note panels. Very cool background with the water drops and distressing. :)
Beautiful CAS card! Love how the distress ink and water created a unique background! TFS God bless!!
Great CAS design, Lindsey. Thanks for sharing your technique for the panels. Will give that a try!
Pretty! Love the effect of the water drops on the sponged Distress inks and the color of your card. The Paris Dusk ink is a great shade... I have it and have never used it. Better break that puppy out!

Such a beautiful CAS card..
Love your musical squares!
Sweet little card and love the sponged background. Isn't it great when you can make the background any color you want just by using ink?!
Love the musical notes! Your sponged background is awesome!
I love that you made decorative squares with that stamp. I am always looking for more than one way to use a stamp and make my own embellishments!
What a great sponged background! I need to remember to use that technique to match my inks!
It looks cute having the musical notes turned every which way. I also like the soft colors.
Great CAS card and loved the effect of water droplets on your card.
I like the blotchy look. It is interesting and different.
I always get anxious using water around paper (shocking, lol) but I LOVE how it looks! (Mists react to water too, in case you feel like playing again). That sentiment is really lovely, and I'm SUPER impressed (hahaha) that you managed to make that itty bitty stamp a super star!
Oh how lovely, it looks like patterned paper. Ps - skip me for the drawing, your pretty creations are my prize.
Love the 3 panels of music notes! The effect is amazing, and I love the font of the sentiment too.
