Crafty Creations Challenges: Autumn Leaves

Autumn. Even the staunch denier that I am can no longer pretend it's still summer. It's not that I dislike fall, it's just that fall means... winter is next. Sigh. :D In the meantime, however, Crafty Creations Challenges is helping me to face reality with an Autumn Leaves challenge. Our sponsor this week is Digi Doodle Shop, who generously provided the design team with some great images. I picked one called "the day off".

I started by colouring the image with Prismacolor pencils. As I was filling in the details, I realized... wait, there are no autumn leaves in this picture! Luckily I've had these felt leaf stickers in my stash forever, and with a little raffia, they made a perfect embellishment. Even though one is still green. :D
Now, Some good news and bad news about Digi Doodle Shop. If you go to the website, you will see the following:

Although Judy is closing her business, she will honour our winner's prize. The good news: since all her images are now just $1, you will get lots of digi goodness!
Since I had to make an autumn card anyway, I'm going to link this up to the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge: Fall Fun. Also joining the crowds at the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Supplies: white & Stampin' Up kraft & garden green cardstock, Digi Doodle Shop the day off image, Prismacolor pencils, Spellbinders circle dies, (?) felt leaf stickers, raffia, Creative Memories corner-rounder punch

LOL! I cannot pretend it's summer either! The weather has cooled down so much!!! Our highs are still in the 90s but it's cool (if that makes sense!).

LOVE this card--LOVE that kraft background! And that scarecrow--so cute:)

I would be sad for you about winter coming (well, I'm not looking FORWARD to it exactly) but I'm far too glad about the humidity being finished! I swear I grew mold.
Love the felt leaves & raffia - such a great autumny feel :)

Very nice card! Yep, leaves are coloring and falling here as well... But this farmer looks very relaxed about it, hi hi. That's good! Great card, Lindsey!

Still waiting for autumn here. It might arrive by Christmas time.
Love that chilled out scarecrow - a guy after my own lazy heart!
