A True Valentine
This is a card I made for a cousin (I have never totally grasped the hierarchy of firsts, seconds, removed... let's just say she is my grandmother's niece) and her husband who are celebrating their SEVENTIETH wedding anniversary. Does your mind not boggle just a bit at the concept?
Anyway, the card... a larger format, just under 5"x7". The image is embossed in pale gold pearl embossing powder, then watercoloured with distress inks. I'm entering this card into the ♥Love is in the Air♥ challenge at Simon Says Stamp.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Supplies: Stampin' Up old olive cardstock, watercolour paper, light gold pearl paper, Stampin' Up Elements of Style image stamp & JudiKins calligraphic sentiment stamp, Versamark ink, worn lipstick & peeled paint distress inks, pale gold pearl embossing powder Pin It Now!

5 x 7... You brave girl! Ha. Wonderful colors and that is an amazing milestone... Big congrats to them.
Well, it's their 70th (holy moly) so go big, right? The colours and design are absolutely brilliant! I always love it when you water colour this stamp. I know the recipients will love it!
70? That's awesome!! This looks so gorgeous embossed in gold and your watercolouring is fabulous!
Wow! 70th anniversary is awesome!! What a lovely card, Lindsey!! Love how you coloured the image. I'm sure they are thrilled to get it. {hugs}
Oh, wow! I didn't realize it was gold embossed until I read your post. It's such a pretty look with the coloring. The larger scale definitely works. Sometimes you just need a big card...especially celebrating 70 years. That's awesome!
The watercolors combined with that soft gold embossing are so dang elegant -- I bet your cousin (or whatever) just loves it!
