September 16th Friends with Flair

I feel a bit guilty adding this card to a hop called Friends with FLAIR. It's not necessarily full of said flair. But obviously I'm not bothered enough not to share it...

I needed a card as a pick-me-up for a friend, and didn't want anything too bright or busy, so I changed my normally red gingham iPaper to greyscale before printing it out. I successfully used my stamp positioner to get the bottom text perfectly aligned on the gingham... the first time, even!
This is the second card I've made with the the strawberry stamp from Unity's Vintage Fruit bundle. (Yes, they're remarkably similar; good they were for two different people.) I've also used the apple stamp, but have yet to have success with the pear. I'll have to keep working on that one, I guess. :P Have a great weekend!

Supplies: white & Stampin' Up real red cardstock, Amber Ink plaid picnic gingham-tiny iPaper, Unity strawberry greetings stamp, Colorbox cranberry ink, clear embossing powder Pin It Now!

I love clean cards. Turned out great. Congrats on the straight sentiment (LOL) I know how frustrating it is when it ends up crooked.

Okay, why does this card not have flair? You don't give yourself enough credit. Plus, you are a great friend for making this card...she's going to love it! I LOVE how you changed the digital paper (I have a definite appreciation for altering digital papers and elements). The stamp is so beautiful...I love that set. Love it, Lindsey!

Greyscale: brilliant! And it looks great with the strawberry. Flair-ful, if you ask me!

I think this card is perfectly flair-y in its country CAS charm, Lindsey! Printing the gingham in grey scale was a great idea, and anytime the sentiment stamps straight the first time is a cause for celebration. This will certainly cheer up your friend!

Glad I'm not the only one who has a hard time with a stamp positioner! I was saying a lot of really bad words when I was trying to use it today...

I really like the red on the grey gingham and am probably going to end up buying those stamps thanks to you! (I'll send you the bill...) :)

No flair? Who are you kidding? I love it! Red ink on gingham is a winner in my book. I hope this card makes your friend smile!
