Bashful Blogging followers. This is Burke, Lindsey’s husband, posting to her
blog with a bit of news.
After
Lindsey’s untimely death from ovarian cancer last summer, I worked with some
great people at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation to set up a research
fund called, “Lindsey’s Legacy Fund For Clear Cell Ovarian Cancer Research” (www.lindesyslegacyfund.ca). We have raised over $150,000 so far to help find
methods of early detection and effective treatment for this terrible disease
that took Lindsey from us.
As you can
imagine, Lindsey had accumulated a large collection of stamping and card-making
supplies during the many years she was involved in your crafting community. To
mark Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, with the help of some special friends,
Lindsey’s Legacy Fund is offering boxes of stamps, dies, and other materials
for sale. Each box (14” x 10 3/8” x 2 1/8”) will be available for $100 (including
shipping). Please note that they can only be mailed to Canadian addresses.
All the proceeds from this project will go directly to Lindsey’s Legacy Fund at
the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Each box
will be chock full of an assortment of items including: stamps (with/without coordinating dies;
including Christmas themes); small ink pads (various colours); embossing
folders, dies, stencils; containers of embossing powder, glitter, etc.; and a
selection of embellishments, ribbon, washi tape, etc.
You can
expect to see products from favourite brands such as: Lawn Fawn; Concord and 9th;
Spellbinders; My Favorite Things; Altenew; Tim Holtz; Sizzix; Stamper’s
Anonymous; Simon Says Stamp; Pinkfresh Studio; Taylored Expressions; Hero
Arts; Memory Box; Poppystamps; Unity Stamp Co; STAMPlorations; and
Essentials by Ellen, plus items from lesser known suppliers.
And here’s
something special for all you card makers: Lindsey’s Legacy Hop on
September 15, 2023! The purpose of the hop will be to honour Lindsey, celebrate
her life and all that she loved, as well as help spread the word to raise funds

This is so amazing and a beautiful way to honour Lindsey.
As a teammate on drunken stampers and then the sisterhood of snarky stampers she is always in our hearts and thoughts.
