Seize the Birthday: 1, 2, 3

Time for another Seize the Birthday Thursday! We have a fun optional *topping* for you with our new challenge: 1, 2, 3! And by that we mean... ONE die cut, punch or stencil; TWO colours (plus neutrals); and THREE embellishments (same or different)! Of course, we always love to see any birthday-themed creation in our link-up.
I had two different ideas in mind, and then went off in a totally different direction!

Instead of my first ideas of a stencilled or die cut background, I started by stamping this blueprint stamp on watercolour paper, and watercolored with TWO Gansai Tambi paints. (When I stamped the present, I only heat-embossed the sentiment - I find embossing these Tim Holtz images make them just too dark.) I used ONE fishtail banner die to cut the bottom of my panel. I had cardstock and THREE half pearls that matched the ribbon of the gift!

Beautiful inspiration from my Seize the Birthday teammates and our new surprise party guest, my friend Julie! I know you may be in the middle of making tags right now ;),  but I hope you will make a birthday card and join us!

Supplies: Hero Arts colour layering & Recollections black cardstock, Fluid hot-pressed watercolour paper, Tim Holtz/Stamptember blueprints stamp, Versafine onyx black ink, Hero Arts clear sparkle embossing powder, Gansai Tambi watercolours, Sunny Studio Stamps fishtail banners 1 die, Spectrum Noir clear sparkle marker, Queen & Co. lavender half pearls
