Welcome to Day 6 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! Today we are welcoming STAMPlorations as our guest and sponsor.
STAMPlorations carries stamps, dies, stencils and fun chipboard embellishments. I used a stencil to make two tags for today. Here's my first one:
Isn't this a fun and funky tree? I started by blending two green distress inks for a slightly ombré tree, and some yellow and orange for the star at the top. Before I removed the stencil, I layered some super-glittery gel through the stencil as well. After it dried, I added the embossed sentiment to the bottom. I haven't used a lot of patterned paper yet this month, so I found this zigzag paper to contrast with the rounded lines of the tree. The tag base is also from STAMPlorations, the manila nested tag set.
My second tag proved practically impossible to photograph!
For this tree stencil, I used Festive Stickles - beautifully glittery and green in real life, but so hard to capture in a photo. A traditional star at the top didn't look quite right with this cool tree, so I found this fun-shaped silver glitter one in my miscellaneous die cuts. Searching for a good background for it, I happened across this leftover piece of smooshed watercolour paper, and cut it with another manila tag die. No close-up pictures; getting one half-decent photo was hard enough!
I also grabbed another stencil and made a card:
I blended distress inks through a holly stencil for this quick background panel, adding some glitter to the berries with a shimmer marker. I already had this sentiment cut from white cardstock, so coloured it with the same red distress ink as the berries and sprayed it with sparkle mist. It's layered on another die cut for a little extra dimension.
With my stencil use, I'll be entering STAMPlorations Anything Goes with Stencils challenge!
So much merry inspiration on today's tag post! Remember, you can be eligible for one of our many prizes by commenting on today's tags and/or by being inspired to create a tag of your own! I hope you will join us.
