It's time for a new Color Hues challenge! We had so many amazing entries for our last challenge, yellow and kraft, that I can't wait to see what you might do with our newest pairing: PINK and BROWN! I certainly found this one a challenge... but that's what it's all about, right? For me, it may not help that my craft time these days is mostly spent with either red and green or silver and blue. :D Here is what I came up with:
Although it's doing its best to look black in the photo, both my ink and my matting panel are definitely brown. I stamped and embossed Mr. Bear with every intention of colouring him, but then I really liked the way he looked. And he does show up better on my patterned paper than if he was shaded brown, I think. I die cut him a big pink heart to hold, and found this fun paper that coordinated. Nothing fancy, but kinda cute. ;)
I think you'll be blown away by the beautiful creations my teammates and current guest designer, Susie, have made with these two colours! I hope you'll play along!
Supplies: Crafter's Companion white, Papertrey Ink smoky shadow & Stampin' Up melon mambo cardstock, Basic Grey patterned paper, Ellen Hutson All Inside stamps & dies, Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages stamp, Memento Luxe Espresso Truffle ink, Wow clear gloss embossing powder, Winnie & Walter Katharine cutaways dies
One of my favorite stamps, and I love that gorgeous pink and brown background!
ReplyDeleteYou know how I love this bear and she is darling I. That background!
ReplyDeleteAwwww he is adorable, as is your card, love that you didn't colour him. Great background paper, it works perfect. I love pink/brown and blue/brown (making one now) Together. Great sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable, and thank you for the reminder of how great pink and brown look together. You've got my creative juices flowing.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend of mine stamp and cut out some of these little bears for me and I have yet to do anything with them. I think you have just pushed me to getting them uncovered and onto a card really soon. The possibilities are endless with this guy! This is darling card! Now, get back to Christmas Tags! You are almost done!
ReplyDeleteWAIT! WHAT? This EH Bear lives at your house? I so want to add him to my collection, along with the plush/felt one but they're always sold out. Your guy is perfect for this challenge! Cutie-patootie!

Love the patterned paper and that bear is so adorable - hugging the heart?? What? So fantastic. I managed to make a card with pink - don't be too shocked.
