25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 11

Welcome to Day 11 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags! Today we are welcoming Birch Press Design as our guest and sponsor.

Birch Press Design has the most amazing layered dies! My first two tags are made using the Marisol Ornament set:

Both of these tags are made with just white cardstock! Sometimes it can seem a little daunting to cut these dies out of a lot of different colours with all the leftovers. But some ink blending can turn white cardstock into any colour you want.

For my first tag, I covered the tag base in festive berries distress ink and misted it with shimmer spray. The tag topper has a coating of white shimmer ink.

For this tag, I blended the tag base with twisted citron distress ink. Again, it's misted with shimmer spray - and yes, there are a few larger splotches, but obviously that's the reflection of the tree lights on the ornament! :D The sentiment is from the Christmas Ornament and Labels set.
Of course, once the Birch Press sets came out, I had to play some more:

This time, yes, I did cut the various colours, mostly so I could add some glitter cardstock. For the tag on the left, I found a round tag in my bin-of-many, and for the other, I left it in the snowflake shape.

I also managed a card again today:

Sometimes it seems like these layered dies need to be ornate, but I made a very clean and simple card with this centre section of the Epiphany die set. Again, rather than cutting it multiple times, I used Copic markers to colour the various sections.

Do you want to win a prize? There are so many on offer! To qualify, make tags of your own inspired by any of the designers'' tags, or comment on designers' tags each day! Join in on the fun!

Our generous sponsors!

  14. Brilliant set of tags and card. So, they are all so different, yet they go together so well, as they are all cut with those wonderfully detailed BP dies. Great idea to color with copics instead of cutting so many times on your last one.
