It's Monday (boo) but the start of Week Two of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags (yay)! If you missed week one, you can catch up with all the details of this fun event here.
For this, Day 8, we are welcoming guest and sponsor Picket Fence Studios!
Picket Fence sent the Tag Team a delightful package of goodies to play with. Here's the first tag I made:
I love this little bear duo! I decided to go with non-traditional colours for this one, and over the past couple of years, teal and purple have somehow become my go-to *other* colours. There's not a lot of colouring to do on the bears, other than big bear's scarf and some shading. Since the little bear's hat and scarf stamp solid, I went with a grey ink to soften it a bit, and used sparkle embossing powder. The night sky is a simple blending of dusty concord distress ink with some splatters of Perfect Pearls mixed with water. In real life, the purple twine and bells really do match. ;)
And thanks to Picket Fence, Day 8 allows me to get a little snark going...
Hooray for a new Santa, and for a new snarky sentiment! Santa is quite a large image, so a regular tag would have to be a big one, but I thought he was perfect for a wine tag. The background panel is made with a candy cane stencil and Nuvo glimmer paste. And yes, in case you're wondering, the sentiment is stamped on the circle that was cut out of the top! More Copic colouring this time, for Kathy Rac's The Daily Marker 30 Day colouring challenge.
Lots more tag inspiration can be found on Tracey's blog! Whether you create your own inspired tags, or decide to comment on the designers' posts, you might just win a prize from one of these sponsors!
