Today on the Crafty Creations Challenges blog we are starting a new challenge looking for baby cards! Whether it's for a baby shower or to welcome a newborn, show us your baby-related paper creativity. This week we are sponsored by The Stamping Boutique. Tracey is offering this week's winner a choice of three images from her store.
I kept my design very clean and simple. (I know, big surprise!) The sentiment is a digital freebie from Paper Crafts magazine. I thought those baby-block-like letters just called out to be popped up. Down the left-hand side is some DIY washi tape using rice paper and a small Unity stamp.
Whether your style is clean and simple or more detailed, whether you make cards or other paper crafts, come show us your baby-related creations!
Supplies: white cardstock, rice paper, Unity October 2010 Kit of the Month "Take Time to Laugh", Paper Crafts magazine digital sentiment, pop-dot tape, Creative Memories corner-rounder punch
LOVE. The sentiment is awesome popped up! And making washi tape with teensy stamps? LOVE THAT TOO! Baby cards are some of my favourites to make...I have a feeling I'll be able to make a few for this challenge. Twist my arm and all ;)
ReplyDeleteThose baby blocks rock and you're right - they must be popped up! Cool way to use that Unity stamp to. I always think it,s so small and don't know what to do with it. Diggin' this idea though...
ReplyDeleteI was sure all your elements were from the same set they work so well together. I like the blue and green colour scheme too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card! It's perfect for a baby shower! LOVE the inks you've used!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Great colours and design. I have such a hard time with baby cards... thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love the CAS design (surprise!). That's so cool how you made the washi-type strip out of rice paper. The little blocks are really cute. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsey! Love this sweet baby card! BTW You won something on Julie Renae's blog!
ReplyDeleteOh, baby, I surely love this one!! Love the original use of colors and the row of onesies is so cute! Very nice card, lots of pretty white! Love that!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Wendy
Oh my gosh, is this ever cute! It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute, and making the washi tape is so clever. Sometimes those little stamps seem too small to add to a card, you found the perfect solution! Barb
