This beautiful wreath image is from our sponsor this week, the talented Claire, a member of the design team and owner of the Etsy store Hope Jacare. I resized the image so it would be just a bit bigger than a 4 1/4" card base. I coloured the base of the wreath with a kraft-coloured marker, and paper-pieced the hearts with my jelly colour of riding hood red. The "joy" sentiment is embossed in bread, I mean white. I thought about a circular card base, but decided I wanted more of the kraft to be visible. (I do think I need a bigger corner-rounder, though; I would have liked that look a bit more.)
I hope you'll join us in this fun and tasty challenge! And please come back to the blog tomorrow when I start a fun challenge with fellow crafter Donelda!
Supplies: white, Stampin' Up kraft and riding hood red cardstock, riding hood red patterned paper, Hope Jacare digital image, Unity Oh! Joy! sentiment, Brilliance moonlight white ink, white embossing powder, corner-rounding punch, dimensionals
Hey Lindsey, I love how you used this image. Did you paper piece...again! BRAVO, looks so pretty! You sure mastered the challenge my dear. :)Peggy
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy challenge them! It would be kraft, white and purple for me. I love grape jelly and PB&J must be eaten on white bread!
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Clicked that button too soon...
ReplyDeleteThe hearts are so cute on the wreath and I love the plaid sentiment!
This is fabulous, Linds! I love the embossed JOY in the centre and the way the wreath overhangs the edges of the card. That is some fussy cutting!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on that color challenge, what a great card! I love the wreath of hearts and the simple word of joy in the center!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like how you made the wreath (almost typed "wrath"!) a tiny bit bigger than the card -- very fancy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool color challenge, too -- you know I love me some kraft...I mean, peanut butter. ;)
Hee hee, what a fun challenge. The wreath looks *so* awesome, and I like how you showed more kraft around the edges--it emphasizes the shape of the wreath. The sentiment looks great! Hey, I saw your snowman card featured on Unity's page on FB--yeah!
ReplyDeleteHeehee, PB&J card, too cute. LOVE the joy in the center.
