Welcome back to a new challenge at Seize the Birthday! Teammate Vicki has picked our (always optional) topping: USE A STENCIL. I was inspired by Sandie's entry for our previous challenge to pull out a big floral stencil for my card:
I also wanted to try one of my new mini distress inks, saltwater taffy. I blended it onto the flowers, with rustic wilderness for the stems. I found some dark green cardstock to mat the main panel and white-emboss the sentiment. Pretty and easy to put together!
Lorraine continues as our surprise party guest, and she and all the regular birthday partygoers have created beautiful cards to inspire you! Make a birthday card and join us!
Supplies: Neenah white & (?) green cardstock, Clearly Besotted Say What? stamp, Versamark & saltwater taffy & rustic wilderness distress ink, Wow opaque white embossing powder, ARTplorations Happy Flowers stencil

Beautifully CAS. I'm still trying to get myself to call it saltwater taffy and not cotton candy. ROFL!
ReplyDeleteI love this stencil! Worked well with the new color too :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite STAMP stencil, dressed in saltwater taffy! Swoon!

I adore what you did for this card. Now I need saltwater taffy and rustic wilderness. You made me do it. Also glad to her that you are done with treatment and handled it so well.
ReplyDeleteLove how this turned out, Linds. Framing it in with the dark lines really keeps the eyes drawn to the flowers. I don't have Salt Water Taffy and might need to get my hands on some as it's so pretty! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card...just love that stencil, really makes a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous CAS stencil design Lindsey, love these colours and cute font on the sentiment too, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteYou know I did think it looked familiar, but its a stencil well known, so I didn't think too much - then I read you were inspired by Sandie, and was like 'oh yeah!, that's it!' :D
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Lindsey. I love the solid colors - I seldom use them, so they look extra special when they come out so well. Beautiful card!
That’s probably my favourite STAMPlorations stencil, and you’ve done a fabulous job with it! Gorgeous card.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely perfect - I love everything about it!
