ABC Christmas Challenge: S and T

Suddenly, it's September! And since the first of the month falls on a Wednesday, it is time for a new ABC Christmas Challenge. Today's post is brought to you by the letters S and T! For S, we are looking for STENCILS. I chose to go with a glittery Christmas tree:

This is a fun stencil that can be used lots of different ways, but I chose to make a green ombré tree and added a layer of glitter gel for extra Christmas fun. I included a couple of pops of red with my sentiment and star atop the tree. This plaid paper matched my shades of green quite nicely!

Our second prompt this month is T for TWO. I made it easy on myself by finding a stamp that already had two mittens, and also made two cards!

The mitts and sentiment are both from a 2010 Unity kit - I've been doing this a long time! :D I stamped the entire image on each card base, then cut the mittens out of red and green textured cardstock. For more texture, I ran my panels through a knit embossing folder after cutting out the scalloped frame. Here's a closer look at the two cards:

As always, we have a little prize on offer for one participant, so be sure to check out the ABC blog with all the DT's beautiful inspiration - and then join us!

  3. Lovely pair of cards, Lindsey! I really like the glitter layer on the stenciled tree - you've got to have a bit of glitter at Christmas. The mitten cards are gorgeous and I love the added texture from that great E/F.
    Take care.
