Happy Friday! It's the first one of the month, and that means it's time for the June Scrap n Stamp blog hop. And it's a fun one! We're calling it the Whittle Things Blog Hop, as we are playing with Poppystamps Whittle Dies! It really is a lot of fun to play with these cute little dies. Here's my card, so you can see what I mean:
For this card, I'm using the Whittle Happy Octopus, Whittle Dolphin and Whittle Wave Background. For the background, I created an alcohol ink panel with blue and silver inks. The dolphin and octopus are coloured with Copics. I love that the background cuts the waves so I could tuck them into the panel. For the background layer, I used a new-to-me Memory Box paper pad - wow! Beautiful colours and heavyweight cardstock. The sentiment and waves are from a My Favorite Things stamp set. As a final step, I added a scattering of Studio Katia confetti. (I like confetti - sequins without the holes. :D)
I can tell from my teammates' designs that they are having a lot of fun with Whittles dies, too! Hop along and comment on each designer's post for your chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the Scrap n Stamp store. And if, like me, these sweet little dies are calling to you, you're in luck - Whittles are on sale this weekend for 20% off, with no code needed! Here are the links to everyone in the hop:
