Happy March! Are you ready for a brand new Color Hues challenge? Our colours this time are YELLOW and BLUE. Here's my card using these hues:
The background for this is inspired by Shirley Bampton, who also designed the stamp set I'm using! How's that for going to the source for a little inspiration? :) I tapped a little blue ink on a craft mat, mixed it with a bit of water, and used a wide brush to create the stripes on bristol. For the lemons, I stamped the outlines, then second-generation stamped to get a lighter tone for the segments. The sentiment is stamped in the same blue ink and embossed. A trio of yellow enamel dots is the finishing touch.
Supplies: Neenah white cardstock, Koh-In-Oor smooth bristol, STAMPlorations Layered Citrus stamps, Versamark, Memento dandelion & Catherine Pooler juniper mist ink, Wow clear gloss embossing powder, Pinkfresh enamel dots, foam tape
Love it! Fresh, crisp and my favourite drink!

ReplyDeleteThis card brought a smile to my face the minute I saw it this morning! On a cold, windy and snowy day a few yellow lemons were certainly a bright spot. Love the way you created the stripes, and the sentiment is definitely a winner!
