Happy Saturday! Look at that, we're onto the second half of the first month of 2021. At least that means it's time for a new Color Hues challenge! We are asking you to use the colours NAVY and CREAM. I thought these hues would make for a classy sympathy card:
While hoping not to need it for a long time, it is always good to have a few of these on hand should the need arise. I pulled out an older floral set and stamped it off the edge of my cream panel. The navy mat is blended with the same ink for a perfect match. The rounded corners are about as fancy as this gets - I always think the simpler, the better for this type of card.
My Color Hues teammates, and our current guest designer Julie, have covered a range of occasions with their beautiful cards in navy and cream! I hope you will come and join the gallery with your own navy and cream creation.
Supplies: Stampin' Up very vanilla & Neenah white cardstock, Stampin' Up Elements of Style & Unity Tulips & Daisies stamps, Catherine Pooler juniper mist ink, Creative Memories corner-rounding punch
Lindsey,
ReplyDeleteI think the card you've made is beautiful and it has all the elements needed for a prefect sympathy card, IMHO. I especially love how you matched the image with ink for your mat. That stamp is one I have always loved and still have in my stash, and you've reminded me how pretty it is!
I'm a firm believer that sympathy cards should be CAS---and elegant! Yours is very definitely both!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, a fav. stampset and colour combo for it too. I love the two rounded corners it brings elegance. I hope you don't mind if I case this for future cards of this kind. Not my favourite to do.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! And I agree that simplicity is best for a sympathy card. Love that you inked up your background piece to make a perfect match. Such a beautiful stamp too. Take care!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous and classy sympathy card. I hope it stays in your stash for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous card, Lindsey!
