25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 9

Welcome to Day 9 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags! I hope you've had a chance to play along, or at least do some commenting for a chance to win one of the many prizes on offer this month! For Day 9, our guest and sponsor is Pink & Main

I combined two different Pink & main stamp sets for today's tag:

I wanted to display a Christmas treat on some festive boughs, so stamped several greenery items from the Holiday Wreath set, coloured them and die cut them. After I had arranged them to my liking, I decided on the Christmas Cake from Sweet Christmas, since it had a holly spring on it. The sentiment is a combination of black ink and red embossing powder, and turned into an interesting colour that somehow works just right! I "frosted" the edges of the kraft tag with some white ink. And yes, the close-up shows my outside-of-the-lines colouring. :D

The Holiday Wreaths set has two beautiful wreath stamps included in it, so of course I had to make my own for a card:

I do love how you can use the MISTI to rotate a square of cardstock with assorted stamps and end up with something like this. Of course, creating my own wreath meant I had to fussy-cut it instead of using a die that goes with the wreaths in the set. At least I was able to die cut the red bow. Black cardstock seemed a little harsh, so I used a dark grey cardstock, with a woodgrain impression plate, for my backing panel. I added a sentiment in silver and some sparkly sequins.

Remember there are lots of prizes to be won by participating in this almost month-long event! Make your own tag inspired by any of the designers' tags, or comment on their posts to be eligible to win. I hope you're playing along!

  4. You're not supposed to tell when you color outside the lines. Just pretend you're a rebel and it's on purpose. Both tags are cute. I love the yummy looking one the best. [Bunny]
