Welcome to Day 2 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event, hosted by Tracey McNeely! Today our guest and sponsor is Simon Says Stamp.
For today's tag, I combined a kraft base with a fun Simon Says Stamp set:
To start, I cut a rectangle out of white cardstock that would fit on the tag base from my bin-of-many. Using a ripped piece of copy paper as a mask, I blended a simple sky. The tree and secondary sentiments are stamped directly onto this. The reindeer is stamped, embossed and die cut, as is the big "merry". Some silky red ribbon finishes the tag.
My card for today uses a pretty, NBUS wreath die:
This die doesn't exactly cut an image; rather, it die cuts just the outlines. I used it to cut into watercolour cardstock, then watercoloured the various elements, with some Nuvo drops for the red berries. The sentiment from Simon's Peace on Earth stamp set fit perfectly into the centre. This was a quick yet elegant card to make.
So much festive inspiration on today's tag post! Remember, you can be eligible for one of our many prizes by commenting on today's tags and/or by being inspired to create a tag of your own! I hope you will join in on the fun.
