Happy October Saturday! Inkspirational is back with a fun new challenge: Angle It. Here's my take on it:
I've been meaning to use these Alice in Wonderland stamps for a while now. When my niece (who happens to be an Alice) told me how very strange high school was this year, I had my opportunity. :D To start, I used a curved mask to ink my purple spiral on grey cardstock. Then I coloured my Alice and fussy cut her. For the card base, I used the same purple ink to blend a wonky scalloped border, then stamped and embossed a few other Alice stamps down the panel. Both my Alice panel and my sentiment are angled to go with the challenge theme. Alice is rather on an angle, too!
Since I've inked up my Alice stamps for the first time, I'm adding this card to Darnell's October NBUS gallery.
Lots of fun, angled creations on the Inkspirational blog, so I hope you will check them out and then join us!
Supplies: Neenah white, Stampin' Up basic black & PTI soft stone cardstock, Miss Ink Alice & Tea Party stamps, Versafine onyx black & dusty concord distress inks, Wow clear gloss embossing powder, Copic markers, MFT wonky stitched rectangle & Paper Smooches borders 1 die, foam tape
Absolutely brilliant Lindsey! You used the angles so cleverly!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve created a great feeling of movement and dimension, with the stenciled panel and falling Alice. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever take on the theme! As a crafter I love your card because it's so beautifully made and as a librarian I love that you thought of Alice! Bravo you, Jo x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love this card, even though it is making me a bit dizzy to look at!! So, your intended effect is perfectly executed.
ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! I love the theme, the colors, and the inked background. Perfect for the angle challenge!

Even though you already know I think your card is awesome, I'm here to say that it becomes even more so with every viewing! Fabulous ink-blending to create movement and your Alice is fussy cut? Yet another of your amazing talents! Love this!

It's always fun to see what you are up to and creating, Lindsey, as one storyteller to another! You've done a magnificent job of illustrating your thought process in designing this fabulous fun card! Love all the various angles, the upside-down Alice, and the awesome swirls! The real Alice will treasure this! Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteVery fun card, and I love your spiral inking behind Alice.
ReplyDeletePerfectly inspired by your niece - the swirly vortex looks great. I've never done Alice in Wonderland at The Library Challenge but it's definitely on my list , so maybe when I do, I can tempt you to join in!
