I'm welcoming the weekend with my third Just Us Girls guest designer post! This week my friend Carol is asking us to use the colours GREEN, BLUE, and PINK to create our projects. Rather than use these to colour my card, I thought I would make them the backdrop:
The three colours are blended onto a panel of Bristol cardstock. With a polka dot stencil, I blended more of same colours, letting them overlap on the shaded transitions. The floral image with added dragonfly is embossed in white over top. Finally, I added a simple sentiment.
Supplies: Neenah white & Fabriano blue cardstock, Koh-I-Noor smooth Bristol, Echo Park Winter Wishes patterned paper, Unity Insightful Meadows, Paper Smooches Botanicals & Clearly Besotted Sweet Little Sentiments stamps, Versamark, Altenew Persian blue & tumbled glass, spun sugar & bundled sage distress inks, Wow white embossing powder, Heidi Swapp polka dot stencil, Sugar Pea Designs Card Builder Elements & MFT blueprints 29 dies
When I saw the colour pallet I thought "EW green" but your card is beautiful, Stencil use is fab. and the Queen Anne's lace and dragone fly are a lovely addition to the background.
ReplyDeleteLovely card -- I am loving the dots :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blending. I do love the color combo. So very pretty.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card....I love your blended background.
ReplyDeleteThe ink blended background looks wonderful, Lindsey, and the polka dots really call attention to it. The wild flowers were a great choice to emboss over them. It's such a soft and pretty card.
ReplyDeleteLove that background. The colors blended so nicely and I love the polka dot stencil. Pretty white embossed flower as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely soft background Lindsey and such a pretty result with the dots. Super simple floral image with that lovely dragonfly.
ReplyDeleteSuper job as I said with these colors this week! You are such a great guest!
ReplyDeleteFabulous background! I love how you used the polka dot stencil and your beautiful blending of the inks. The white embossed image looks beautiful against it.
