For the June Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge, our theme is PARTY! Remember parties? A group of people would gather together to enjoy each others' possibly close company and have a good time? Sigh. Of course, we can still party with the people we are staying at home with in our isolation bubbles.
Before we get into things, I want to let you know that Happy Little Stampers will be taking a six-month break - our fearless leader, Kylie, who does so much in the papercrafting community, is taking a well-deserved sabbatical. We all hope to be back, refreshed and virus-free, in January!
For my card, I decided to make something that could work even for a party of one:
This cocktail stamp seemed to be the closest I had to a mimosa - at least it has the citrus slice on the rim! Some simple colouring with Copics, a heat embossed sentiment, and my favourite part - the little clear-embossed bubbles. Subtle, but gives the clue that there's sparkling wine and not just orange juice. :D
Inspirational currently has a challenge that might have had me in mind... Funny Sentiments! I'm linking this card there.
Lots of fun inspiration on the HLS website - hope you will have a party with your papercrafting supplies and join us!
Supplies: Neenah white & American Crafts orange textured cardstock, Fiskars Join the Party, Riley & Company Mimosa & Paper Smooches Free Spirits stamps, Versamark &Versafine onyx black ink, Wow clear gloss embossing powder, Copic markers, MFT stitched scalloped rectangle die
Love the simplicity

ReplyDeleteI vaguely remember parties.... LOVE this card. As a friend of mine always says "You can't say you've been drinking all day if you don't start in the morning!" :-)
ReplyDeleteMmm, this drink looks so tasty. And what a fun sentiment, perfect for our challenge and the image. Loving the CAS style and vibrant colors. Thanks for joining our challenge at Inkspirational.
