September! Not sure where July and August went, but here we are. The first of the month means a brand new challenge at Naughty or Nice: FRAMED! Use a frame on your handmade card or other project. We are once again sponsored by the awesome and generous Bugaboo Stamps! You'll be seeing my Bugaboo card soon.
September also brings the latest Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge! The goal of this challenge, hosted by Kathy Racoosin, is to find a few minutes in each day to colour. For Day 1, I decided to colour a couple of Crazy Dogs, and one of them made his way to my card:
I did colour two pups, as I wasn't exactly sure where I was going with them at first. Here they are before die cutting:
(Why yes, I do save watercolour paper scraps.) |
My guy on the left seemed to have just the right expression for the sentiment. The popped-up frame matches his tongue, and the back panel brings out his colouring. :P
I'm adding this to the current Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Wednesday challenge.
Feeling you've been framed? Come and play along!
Supplies: white cardstock, Canson watercolour paper, Basic Grey Hey You & Teresa Collins Santa's List patterned papers, Stampers Anonymous/Tim Holtz Mini Crazy Cats and Dogs stamps & dies, Technique Tuesday Sassy Birthday stamps, Versafine onyx black & MFT black licorice inks, Ranger clear embossing powder, (?) frame die, Marvy/Uchida corner-rounding punch, pop-dot tape
Both pups are cute and beautifully coloured, but I also think the guy on the left has exactly the right expression! Another fab card, Jo x
ReplyDeleteFun card, Lindsey, sure to bring somebody a smile! That's how I feel about my birthdays! Thanks for sharing your work with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
