I imagine that many participants of this event actually think about their supplies before they pick the tag they are going to CASE. Not me! I just went ahead and sponged (unlike Carolyn, who painted :o hers) my background using several different distress inks. I also splattered the sky with some perfect pearls mist. I really wanted to do the vellum trees, too — I have a zillion evergreen stamps, but not one that would work. Hmm. I decided to go with this silhouette image, instead, embossed with sparkly black embossing powder. I cut a piece of patterned paper to fit underneath. Next, I needed a sentiment, and went with "wish" from a new Essentials by Ellen set. So the problem with a splattered background... the dot on the "i" sort of disappears, so that at a casual glance, the sentiment seems to be "ursh". (And apologies, if you're like me... once you see that, it's hard to unsee.) To accentuate the dot, I added a little Versamarker and double-embossed it so it stood out a bit more.
That's all from me today... I hope to be back with yet another tag tomorrow!
