So cute! I chose to be inspired by Kate's line of fun and colourful theme-related images and her clean design. Here's mine:
Kate's row of images reminded me of this prehistoric Stampin' Up set. I stamped the trees in bright green, then coloured any ornaments in red. I get a little stuck on realism sometimes, so the trunks are brown. Each star is bright yellow with some clear glitter pen for shine. The sentiment is stamped in matching green on the card base — props to Kate for making a one-layer card! I tend to find them daunting... no room for error! ;)
This card was so quick and easy to put together, I made another!
This one is closer to the original inspiration, I think, since I used more colours and there is more variety to the images. Each ribbon and bow is traced with a clear glitter pen for some sparkle.
Thanks for the fun inspiration, Kate!
Supplies: white & Stampin' Up real red & basic black cardstock, Stampin' Up Crazy for Christmas stamps, My Favourite Things black liquorice & Ranger lily pad & classic cherry inks, various markers, Gelly Roll clear glitter pen
Both your cards are gorgeous xx
ReplyDeleteVery fun! I have the same issue with line images - I rarely stamp them in colour (when they clearly need 2 or 3!) So glad you joined us at Muse this week (finally!) Lindsey!
ReplyDeleteLove them both! I remember this prehistoric stamp set. I rarely used it. Hmmm ...
ReplyDeleteLove the cards. I have a few stamps I could do this with. If only I could get the sentiment straight like you. Love the CAS look, but a very classy card. Will be CASE'ing this in the future. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteExcellent cards, Lindsey - love how CAs they are! Jo x
ReplyDeleteLove your cards ... perfect take on the Muse.
ReplyDeleteThese are both whimsical and wonderful, Lindsey! I pulled out some ancient SU to do mine, too. They made the best little stamps back in the day and they remain relevant even now! Happy Holiday Hugs!! Darnell
ReplyDeleteLove both cards. First one is my fav. Great take on the muse card.
ReplyDeleteTwo terrific cards! Love the row of brightly colored presents.
ReplyDelete2 lovely christmas cards!
ReplyDeleteLove your versions of Kate's Muse card. Super cute.
