I do cards without sentiments on the front quite often... so of course initially drew a blank when I had to do that on purpose. Then, driving home from visiting family the other day, inspiration struck...
I also wondered how to make a card snarky with only an image. The answer, obviously, was to put the snark on the inside:
I realize I could expand my repertoire of people stamps, but I do love this one! I debated putting an actual crown on her, but really, isn't "supreme ruler" written all over her face? The background was inspired by J.J. Bolton's card I saw on the Paper Smooches blog recently. Since the sentiment wasn't allowed to be on the outside, I gave it some extra showcasing on the inside.
Since a picture says a thousand words, why not show us your images-only card? If you need further inspiration, you will find lots of it on the Snarky Stampers blog, including those of our latest Queens of Snark, Stephanie and Indy!
Supplies: white cardstock, Teresa Collins He Said, She Said patterned paper, Unity Queen of the Universe stamps, Memories black, Memento dandelion & tumbled glass distress inks, Spellbinders oval & My Favourite Things layered Labels dies, watercolour pencil, silver Sharpie, pop-dot tape
I can't love this enough. That supreme ruler image is fabulous (One that I don't yet have in my stamp collection...yet.) That background is amazing and really shows off that Queen!
ReplyDeleteAwesome image fabulous card, so well put together and great sentiment on the inside. the challenge was a challenge wasn't it lol
ReplyDeleteYes, she DOES have attitude. I feel it in those "clenched" fists (at least that's what they look like to me). Great background on the front, BTW.
ReplyDeleteI love that image and sentiment-perfect together! Awesome card!
ReplyDeleteIt's SO not easy being Queen of the Universe!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card and fab take on the challenge sistah!!
Ta dah! Excellent, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI love her houndstooth patterned shirt and of course her attitude!
ReplyDeleteShe does look like the supreme queen! Retro, stunning and inspired! Congrats, by the way on your win over at STAMPlorations! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh Lindsey! Love that card!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that always the way? It comes easily to you until you HAVE to do something?
ReplyDeleteI have that stamp, and she can be quite snarky when I let her. I'm toying with this challenge, but the IMAGE ONLY has me itching. I need to work on that, plus the need to put something on the inside.
She is fabulous. I can imagine that image telling you that there is no need for other stamps as she is far superior to any that you would be able to find. I think I need this card.
ReplyDeleteIt is now!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! That face says it all. Fab design, too. xxD
