Thanksgiving in Canada, of course, has come and gone; but not to the south of us! And since friendship knows no borders...
If this card looks familiar, I made a very similar card before Canadian Thanksgiving. My last one helped earn me a spot on the Naughty or Nice challenge team, so why not make an encore? ;) I added a pilgrim hat to my turkey this time -- more of an American symbol than a Canadian one.
I'm entering this into Simon Say's Stamp's current Wednesday challenge, Thanks/Thanksgiving. My goal is for this to be a busy week on the blog, so hope to see you here again soon!
Supplies: Stampin' Up kraft & Bazzill brown cardstock, My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two Rosy patterned paper plus many scraps, Paper Smooches Jive Turkey stamps, Memories black & Colorbox espresso inks, Zing clear embossing powder, distress markers
Such a fun turkey! Love the colorful feathers. Thank you so much for playing along with us in the Thanks/Thanksgiving challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog :)
ReplyDeleteI love this guy even when he's being nice :) Those tailfeathers rock!
ReplyDelete(Oh, and Rob took an envie to the post office for you this morning...yay! about time!)
Wow, your paper piecing is really amazing!! The mix of papers is perfect...I'm pretty much in awe of how gorgeous the feathers look. The turkey is perfectly colored too!
ReplyDeleteLove all the paper piecing Linds. Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well -- guess which gorgeous card showed up in my mailbox today? THIS ONE! It's even better in person. Thanks, Linds!! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteHoly Crow! Er, Turkey!! Fantabulous paper piecing, and love the added pilgrim hat!
ReplyDeleteLove this...and I don't know HOW I missed the other one in October, but so glad you linked to it. Both are great..although I'd go crazy cutting out all those feathers.
ReplyDeleteWowee! I love this! The colours and paper piecing are amazing and perfect!
