It's a Snarky Rubber Dance Hop!

The Snarky Sisters have found our people!
There is a one woman company, Rubber Dance Art Stamps, in far off Norway that speaks our language. I don't mean English. I mean SNARK! She makes a whole rubber plate of snark! This divine product of snarkitude must be shared, and we have accepted that challenge.

The plate is called "Sarcasm Superpowers" and it is obviously perfect for our Sisterhood. We want to share this awesomeness with you, so we our hosting our first blog hop, The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers First Annual Spectacular September Snark Off Blog Hop!

So many excellent sentiments -- which to use? I decided on the perfect one to use as a snarky birthday card for a somewhat stressed-out person:

When I mentioned this sentiment to my always-practical husb, he remarked that people don't really use lemons with tequila, they use limes. And that is how my inside sentiment was born...

Thanks to Google, I was also able to watermark a Patron logo in the background. Seemed only appropriate.

Jingle Bells

It's Saturday! Time for a new Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge... and Edna echoes exactly how I feel about this week's theme: 

Yes, distressing makes me distressed. It's good to be challenged once in a while, though, right? And so while I could have opted for the easy way out and merely sponged the edges of a card stock panel, I did try to distress a bit more than that.

If you look closely, yes, I did distress the edges of both the Jingle Bells panel and the ticket image. I don't own a fancy distressing tool, of course, so a scissors blade did the work instead. I did also sponge the edges of both those panels, as well, with DISTRESS ink, of course. :D With Jingles Bells as my main stamp, it only made sense to use papers from a pad called "Sleigh Ride". 
There is lots of distressing inspiration to be found on the Snarky blog today, both from my sisters in snark and from our latest guest designer, Sandra. And then we would love to see you join us! 
P.S. Realized I could add this to Darnell's fun NBUS challenge, since my Jingle Bells music stamp got inky for the first time! I am pretty sure it's the first time I have used this paper pad, as well.

Joyful Wine

Please don't read anything into the fact that I'm joining Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop two weeks in a row with a wine-related project. ;) It just so happens I wanted a wine tag to add to a bottle of wine we plan to take to dinner with friends tomorrow. 

Great sentiment, don't you think? (I just noticed, it's on sale this weekend...) The patterned paper isn't exactly like rings left by wine glasses, but close enough for me.
Simon Says Stamp has a Wednesday "Tag It" challenge this week, so this is heading there, too.

Wine and Salad

The current Quirky Crafts Challenge is a fun one -- it's called Red Red Wine. (If you're at all familiar with 80s music, we can also thank them for the earworm. And if you're not? The video for the song is helpfully provided on their blog. :D) Red wine and I don't actually get along very well -- headaches tend to ensue -- so instead of drinking it and suffering the consequences, I made a card. 

I love that sentiment. :) And I thought it was fun use it with an otherwise minimalist and classy-looking card. Not positive I would want to look for long at that one patterned paper after a glass or two...

O is for Colour?

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is at it again! We wouldn't want our alphabet challenges to be too obvious, so our latest challenge is O is for One... as in one colour!  

Our mascot, Edna, is obviously feeling blue, and I went with the colour blue for my monochromatic card, as well. 

I started by embossing a snowflake background on some watercolour paper, then swiped some blue paint over it with a wide brush. While that dried, I stamped and embossed the snowman and sentiment and cut them out. I used holographic embossing powder for some fun shine. Once the base was dry, I die cut it, layered it on blue card stock and then onto the white card. All that was left was to pop up the snowman and sentiment!
Notice the curve in my card? I photographed this on a day that felt like there was 400% humidity -- all my papers seemed as though they'd been dropped in a warm bath. :( Happy to say that once the humidity dropped, my card went back to normal.
