A new challenge blog is always good news... although for me, this one has a bad news component. Early this week, the creators of the Drunken Stampers challenge, Spike and Peggy, announced that the time had come to close down the blog. There was great unhappiness in the Lounge! But then some of the Designated Designers decided we just have too much fun together to disband completely. And thus... THE SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS was born!
My sisters and I hope to offer a fun, no-pressure challenge every two weeks, with a chance to be a little (or a lot) snarky if you wish! And so onto our very first challenge...
Need a valentine that's not all hearts, flowers and cupids? Have we got a challenge for you! Here's what I came up with:
I always think it's nice to sugar-coat the snark a little, don't you? So a sweet cupcake image, a glossy cherry and a little bling to distract from the message.
Make sure you check out our new blog and what my sisters in snark have offered for inspiration -- you're sure to smile! We are giving you two weeks to submit your card for a chance to become the Queen of Snark and join us as a guest designer!
Eek! I totally forgot I was planning on adding this to the first ever Naughty or Nice challenge... LOVE!
Supplies: white & Stampin' Up kraft cardstock, Echo Park It's a Girl patterned paper, Unity Mix-Up of Cuteness stamp, Memories black ink, watercolour pencils, Glossy Accents, Stampin' Up basic rhinestones, dimensionals
Just to funny...wtg & tfs ...hope snarky gals have a great go of it...
ReplyDeleteSuper cute non flowery valentine card. it would be one my hubby would pick he is a chocoholic. Great start on the first challenge.
ReplyDeleteChocolate is important. Chocolate never let's you down. Happy Anti-Valentines!
ReplyDeleteHee Hee I love your sugarcoated snark...much more subtle that way!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Lee, chocolate...very important :)
Your card is snarkier for me than probably you. I don't like chocolate! Great Anti-Valentine!
ReplyDeleteNow here's a DT made just for you. I love the card. Perhaps I will CASE your card for DH, only I'll keep the front all nice and sweet until he opens it and hit him with "on second thought..."
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with in 2 weeks. LOL
So sweet, yet sooooo snarky! Love your card, Lindsey! That sentiment is perfect paired with that cute little chocolate cupcake!
ReplyDeleteYour conversation hearts are better than my conversation hearts... although I admit that "friend zone" did enter my mind. LOL! I love your sugar coated card. It's hard to love someone MORE than chocolate isn't it? So few are worthy.
ReplyDeleteAnyone should be happy with "almost as much as". It is chocolate we are talking about after all!
ReplyDeleteSo very cute!
Heather
I am seriously going to have to check this challenge out. It's brilliant! And I love your saccharine drenched snarkiness! :P
ReplyDeleteHa, that is super cute!!! I love this challenge. Fabulous idea and you ladies are going to bring on the fun for sure.
ReplyDeleteI just noticed the 'weird kisser' heart - don't we all have at least one of those tucked in our memories? EW.
ReplyDeleteI love the frosting - so perfectly shaded! And that's my fave too - sweet until you read it. BAM! :D
Love your card Linds!! This challenge looks like fun!!
ReplyDeleteMake it as snarky as you want......as long as there's chocolate involved, I'm there! Cute card ;)
ReplyDeleteNice and snarky. Great job.
ReplyDeleteHaha!! Love the sentiment you put! Thank you for joining us at the Naughty or Nice Challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove that you are a Snarky Sister - too funny! (I think I might be accused of being snarky sometimes too). Love your fun and CAS card. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteand p.s. I am so "anti-valentine"
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Drunken Stampers disbanded. However, it's really awesome to see you snarking away here. LOL! I had a really good laugh over those anti-heart tarts and your card is cute and funny!
