This week at Crafty Creations Challenges, we want you to add a number to your project! Lots of possibilities here: stamps, patterned papers, stickers, die cuts... I recently bought my first ever Thickers, and broke them out for this birthday card:
I had to play around with my lighting a bit to make sure the "happy birthday" embossing showed. Aren't these multi-patterned numbers fun? I thought the patterned paper in the background added an extra-festive touch to the overall design.
We have a terrific sponsor back with us this week... Whiff of Joy. So why not take a number and join us?
Supplies: white cardstock, Echo Park Everyday Eclectic patterned papers, chipboard, Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, Spellbinders circle dies, American Crafts patterned Eric Thickers, pop-dot tape
This is so fun, with the patterned paper peeking through & the mixed patterns on the numbers! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI was lucky enough to be given a bunch of Thickers - I'm going to HAVE to start buying some, because they are AWESOME. You'll be addicted.
I have the same embossing folder, but it looks beautiful on your card. I might have to bring it back out and try it again. Great card this week.
ReplyDeleteLove! The layered embossing is too cool!
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable card Lindsey! Love how the background paper peeks out behind the embossed panel. Those Thickers are wonderful and go so well with the paper in the back. But what really caught my eye was the layered embossed 'Birthday' - brilliant!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so pretty! Love the lots of white, with the very colorful edges and details!! Gorgeous!!! Really, really great idea and fabulous birthday card!! Too bad it's not me who's turning 12, hi hi :)

The white embossing is so classy and I love the multicoloured highlights peeping through from behind. What a pretty card.
