I shared accommodation with my brother and his partner (they were all two bedroom suites, so it made sense all round), and wanted to send them an appropriate thank you card.
This little turtle? Found him in a gift store in the small town of Hanalei! How could I not bring home a rubber stamp as a souvenir? I thought it would be fun to stamp him in a spectrum of colours, and popped up and added some shimmer to the shell of the green one for interest.
Simon Says Stamp is hosting the best challenge this week: Put a Stamp On It! If you've stamped on it (old-style, not digital) then it qualifies. Works for me! I'm also adding this to the Moxie Fab World repetition challenge. Let me just leave you with a pic of a typical Kauai beach scene:
Hanalei Beach |
Supplies: white cardstock, LIV Beach Party waves digital patterned paper, Rubber Stamp Paradise small shell stamp, Hero Arts thank you stamp, Memento rhubarb stalk, canteloupe, dandelion, cottage ivy, teal zeal & elderberry inks, Winsor & Newton iridescent medium, circle punch, pop-dot tape
This is officially my new favorite card of yours! I love the rainbow turtles especially the shiny green one and that patterned paper is perfect!! Also love that you bought a rubber stamp as a souvenir. :)
ReplyDeleteI recognize that fab pp from JS--it's always cool to see you using digi. :) The stamp is super cute, and I LOVE how you repeated it on a swoop. This is such great card, Lindsey! Glad you had a fun time in Kauai!
ReplyDeleteSuper fabulous card!! Love that sweet turtle! And how fun is it that you purchased it on vacation?!! Love it!

Wauw, that sounds and looks like an amazing trip! Did you also see the turtles? Well, it would be a long flight for me as well, but I would really like to go there once, also to see the vulcanic activity! And the entire atmosphere, of course! I love your card! I loooove turtles! Saw them lay eggs on a beach in Costa Rica and that was so amazing! Would love to see these rainbow ones somewhere as well, hi hi!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Wendy
Rainbow turtles, LOVE THEM!!! What great movement too.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous design and how I envy a trip to this beach - both your card and the beach are beautiful!
