1. He likes dogs.
2. He enjoys the occasional glass of wine.
3. His name is Jim.
Now that you know these attributes, you will understand how I could not resist picking this up for him when I saw it recently:
The only slight problem... he prefers red wine to white. So I decided to make a tag for the bottle that would help explain it:
I used the four little bottles in the AmberINK set "Hope, Popcorn and Wine" as well as the two little "hics" to make the background layer. (Note to self: be VERY careful when cleaning such teeny stamps -- they're easy to lose! :P) I printed the sentiment on the computer, except for the word "wine", which I inked up and embossed from the sentiment in the set to make it stand out.
P.S. Thanks for checking in on my little blog when I've been so quiet lately! I think I'm discovering that I'm not so inclined to blog during the summer. I'm going to try to post more often, though, so stay tuned!
Supplies: manila file folder (for the tag base), white cardstock, AmberINK Hope, Popcorn and Wine stamps, Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red and Versamark inks, clear embossing powder, $ store ribbon & eyelet
That is FABULOUS!!! If only it had planes and other random animals on it. :P
ReplyDeleteHa! Love the label, love your tag -- the "hic"s make it even better :) Hope he likes it...hope he shares!
ReplyDeleteHi Lindsay! I'm sure this will bring a smile to your brother Jim's face! AND he may even change to liking the white wine instead! You never know! TFS! BTW I love the wine label and the tag!
ReplyDeleteHaha, too fun. I'm sure your brother will love it. That tag is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling the summer bug as well. Enjoy it! :)

Great idea Lindsey. My sister did something kind of like you did for Christmas. She got me a Red wine bottle with the inscription that read "Marilyn Merlot", because she knows Marilyn is my idol, and funny fact, I prefer white wine, but really enjoyed the thought, I still have it too! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou brother will love this, it's just the cutest act of kindness. :)Peggy
Ha ha, this is fun! What a fabulous label you have made here! I'm pretty sure he loved it!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely day!
Hugs, Wendy
I LOVE this! lol! The sentiment is hilarious, because face it, it's true! Love the designer paper you made with the little stamps and white or red, he will think it's pretty great! I struggle with getting to all my commenting/blogging in the summer too. I want to be outside :) Enjoy the sunshine!
ReplyDeleteGreat tag and great wine, Linds! I love the pattern you made with the bottles and "hic"s, and of course your sentiment is awesome!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I can totally understand you had to buy it and your fab tag is sooo cool!
ReplyDeleteThat wine label is hilarious, Linds! In fact, it reminds me of Dr. Seuss' Hop on Pop (Him Jim...). I love the tag you created to go along with it!
ReplyDeleteHow thoughtful of you! Love the tag with all the little images. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo cool! What a great gift and fabulous find. The tag you made is perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a wine drinker but I'd buy this just for the label. :) Your tag is adorable too!
