Who? Cats?

Time for a new Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge: J is for JUMBLE!

Our badge hints at what we mean — we are looking for a collage on your project. If you check Pinterest, Splitcoast Stampers, or any number of other sources, you'll quickly discover that collage is pretty much anything you decide it to be. My favourite style of collage is "freestyle collage" from the old Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking magazine... it's closest to my clean and simple style. (There's an example by Julie Ebersole here.) But then I accidentally found myself involved in a second challenge (issued by snarky sister Chris) to make a collage card combining Doctor Who and cats (long story...). So here it is:

If you're not one of the four people in the world that already *get* this card, let me try to explain. If Doctor Who is an unknown quantity... well, he's a Time Lord that travels in his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). It just happens to look like an old British police box. One of Doctor Who's enemies are the Daleks, who look a bit like giant salt and pepper shakers and yell EXTERMINATE a lot. Another scary element are the statues that come to life every time you blink and then try to kill pretty much anyone. Cats... are cats. Put them all together with a distress ink background and that's my card. 😜
For collage cards that don't require excess explanation, check out the Sisterhood's awesome creations on the blog, as well as that of our current Queen of Snark and guest designer, Toni! And just so you know, you can play along whether or not you like Doctor Who and/or cats!
(P.S. I'll be back in a while with Day 2 of Kathy Racoosin's colouring challenge... not that this doesn't have some colouring...)

Supplies: black cardstock, Strathmore mixed media paper, vellum, Viva Las VegaStamps Doctor Who stamps, Versamark ink, faded jeans, chipped sapphire & seedless preserves distress inks, Wow clear matte dull & silver embossing powder, Impression Obsession cat dies, Echo Park letter stickers, pop up tape

Pin It Now!
