Christmas Tags Day Two

And I'm up to Day 2 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. I chose Gayatri Murali's tag as my inspiration. I focused on the clean modern look, the merry and sparkly bow die cuts, the sponged tag bottom, and the sprinkling of sequins. Here's what I ended up with:

Note the lack of sponging on the tag. Oops. I did sponge the base of a tag, and while I may use it elsewhere, it ended up not working with the MERRY die cut I had decided to use. So I sponged some distress ink through a stencil as an alternative. I masked off "merry" from a sentiment so I was left with just "Let's be". My bow is much smaller than Gayatri's, but still red and glittery. I added a random scattering of red star sequins, then matched the green of my stencilling with some ribbon. A bit of red and white twine finished the tag.

Supplies: white & Stampin' Up real red cardstock, Stampin' Up red glimmer paper, Technique Tuesday Jingle All the Way stamp, Stampin' Up real red & peeled paint distress inks, Poppystamps Merry Dots & Paper Smooches Baby Bow dies, Memory Box scraped paint texture stencil, red star sequins, reclaimed green ribbon & red & whine twine, pop-dot tape

Pin It Now!
