My First Drunken Stampers Designated Designer Post!

Good morning, Saturday! It's finally time for my first post as a Designated Designer on the Yellow Canary team for Drunken Stampers. I'm so excited! This term, the Drunken Stampers challenges will feature a person, place or thing. Here is this week's challenge:

I really hope I'm not immediately drummed out of the Drunken Stampers' lounge: I made this card while drinking TEA, plus... there's no stamping!

Instead of a particular athlete, I chose to focus on tennis as the sport for my card. All the papers are from the Graphic 45 pad "A Proper Gentleman" -- I like that there's quite a proper gentlewoman on the one image. (She might be me! Or maybe not...) I dry-embossed the background panel with what could be an art-nouveau tennis net... well, perhaps if you're a little tipsy. ;) At least I got a teeny bit inky distressing the ends of the torn paper strips.
Be sure to see how the rest of the Yellow Canary team interpreted this week's challenge! You have till next Friday, August 9th, to link up your own sports-related project. Happy weekend!

Supplies: Stampin' Up very vanilla cardstock, Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman patterned paper, Old Paper distress stain, Spellbinders Pebbles Impressabilities, pop-dot tape

Pin It Now!

Fantastic Lindsey! I love that paper line! And have no fear, there are more than a few of us Drunken Stampers that prefer tea with our crafty time :)

Love this Lindsey! And there's nothing wrong with drinking tea while crafting! (Especially if it's the Long Island kind!) LOL!

I know for a FACT that 'gentlewoman' isn't me....*cackles*
I am so freaking excited that you're joining us - and we're on the same team. And you're awesome. Besides, you rocked this first challenge, and looking ahead I think this one was the hardest, lol!

A very nice, 'proper' card, Linds! :P I think it's cool that you didn't stamp 'cause you're such a stamper and it's nice to break out of the norm. Great way to use those papers!

Whoa, this is wicked cool Lindsey! I hope they don't kick you out for not being drunk or stamping, because this card is awesome. The subtle dry embossing is perfect. Congrats on the new DT!

Those vintage images are awesome and I love the paper strips you put behind them. You better break out the margarita's next time though - don't wanna get kicked off the team!
