Boo to you!

Welcome to my latest installment of Wow, you really can make a card without spending the big bucks! :D

I love these monsters! And I found them all in the cheap bins at Michaels! (Aside: don't even think about getting me started on the fact that they're dollar stamps in the US, and we pay 50% more.) The patterned paper is from a freebie digi pack! The Boo medallion is a Love the Day freebie! A bit of colouring, a scallop punch, some ribbon... poof, a cute and inexpensive Hallowe'en card! (Not to mention more exclamation marks than should ever be used in one paragraph.)
I made this for a boat-load haunted house-full of challenges. I pulled my colours and some of the themes from The latest Bows and Berries inspiration photo challenge. The ribbon loop qualifies this for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge (CFC22). I hope it's not considered double-dipping to also add this to the Ribbon Carousel challenge... anything goes. Speaking of... one last entry for the Simon Says Stamp challenge, although they've far surpassed their 1000 entries goal. (Next , they should team up with Pixar... "To Infinity... and Beyond!")

Supplies: white & black cardstock, Sherry K Designs patterned paper, Love the Day "boo" circle, Brilliance graphite black ink, clear embossing powder, Prismacolor pencils, chipboard, Stampin' Up scallop border punch, Offray ribbon, Fiskars glue dots Pin It Now!

You are so good to make this card on such a low budget. You're awesome! Next, you'll be ripping the curtains off the windows to make cards (although, preferably not green and cream toille, and yes, I've watched The Sound of Music way too many times). LOL! This card is super cute and I LOVE the monsters. I'm so glad you joined up with the Bows and Berries challenge--woo hoo!

WAY TO GO on stretching our dismal Loonies! I know what you mean about paying 50% MORE than the US citizens ( but we are NOT going there, are we!?). Love your stamping and fun colors on this cute card, Lindsey!!So glad that you join the fun with us at CAS-ual Fridays!

Those monsters are so super cute and the end result of this card sure doesn't look low budget - it rocks! And you think paying $1.50 is bad? Everything in our Dollar Store is $2.99. Seriously. I will take Canadian prices any day! :)

So cool!! and I love the idea that you don't have to spend a fortune to make a great card! Honestly, there are so many "freebies" out there that it is possible to be creative inexpensively!! I agree with the "dollar bin" at Michaels ... especially once our dollar became equal to the U.S. currency ... and don't even get me started on books!!!!!!!!!

Buck and a half? That's loony. Or is it loonie? Whichever spelling is right.... You just let me know when you'd like to visit the lovely Mitten, and we'll rock the dollar bins, the dollar stores, and any other place where things are actually a dollar. ;)
That said, I'd drop a buck-fifty on those little monsters too -- they are super-cute! Love that almost everything else was free. Way to save!
